You can take advantage of a broad range of advice, support and awards offered by the Australian Government below:Name of grant Description Administering agency Banksia Awards The Banksia Environmental Foundation administers a number of national and state environmental award programs. Banksia Environmental Foundation Greenhouse Challenge Plus Membership of Greenhouse Challenge Plus provides an opportunity for businesses to partner with the Australian Government to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Benefits include access to environmental management information, tools, training, newsletters and mentoring. Department of Climate Change Greenhouse Allies Program Greenhouse Challenge Plus partners (large companies, industry associations and local governments) act as mentors to help smaller businesses develop greenhouse reduction and energy management strategies. Department of Climate Change Greenhouse Challenge Plus Awards Businesses that are Greenhouse Challenge Plus members are acknowledged for achievements in reducing greenhouse emissions through the different membership levels and the Greenhouse Challenge Awards. Department of Climate Change Greenhouse Friendly Australian businesses can apply for Greenhouse Friendly certification and then use the logo to market greenhouse neutral products or services and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Department of Climate Change Minister's Award for Coastal Custodians The Minister's Award for Coastal Custodians is granted to Australian individuals and organisations working to improve the coastal or marine environment. Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts United Nations Association of Australia National World Environment Day Awards The Australia National World Environment Day Awards recognise work to protect, manage or restore the environment on World Environment Day. The program includes Sustainability Victoria's Meeting the Greenhouse Challenge Award. United Nations Association of Australia (Victorian Division)
