One of the simplest ways to minimise your business' impact on the environment is to employ sound recycling practices. Not only does recycling reduce pollution, it conserves materials not easily replaced in the future.

You can start in your office by recycling materials made of paper, metal, and certain types of plastics, along with electronic equipment such as computers and mobile phones.

Proper recycling of other valuable resources such as oil can ensure these resources remain well into the future and do not pollute the environment.

What to do...

  • Find information on waste and recycling on the Australian Environment portal.
  • Read about the Australian Government Oil Recycling initiative to see how you can help to conserve this resource.
  • See what information is available on recycling in your state or territory.
