The Gippsland Capacity Building and Development
Project.
This
website is part of a project to identify sustainable development
opportunities for Gippsland and encourage greater community
involvement and networking.
The Gippsland Capacity Building and Development Project aims to
involve people from across the whole of Gippsland to build on
regional strengths. Working together, they will help identify
sustainable regional development opportunities and set priorities.
The project is part of the Commonwealth’s
Sustainable Regions Programme. It
is being managed by the Sustainable Gippsland Advisory Committee (SGAC),
working closely with the
Gippsland Area Consultative Committee
(GACC). These two bodies are part of a project advisory committee
which also includes representatives of the Commonwealth
Department of Transport and Regional Services,
Regional Development Victoria, the
Gippsland Local Government Network and the
Monash University, Gippsland Campus
located at Churchill.
Regional Knowledge Works,
a company with extensive experience in similar projects, has been
awarded a tender to undertake the project.
